I will stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters met personally to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I plan to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his theatrics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the novice remains one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the customary face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really happening.
